My creative journey.

It started somewhere unexpected

In my early 20s, I moved to Japan with no plan, just an appetite for adventure. I started a band, taught English to pay the bills, and ended up doing the flyers, website and merch myself. All self-taught, all because I wanted it to look good.

Breaker Inc

This self-starter attitude landed my first job at a creative agency. Here I led design on Breaker Japan, a Japanese culture and curiosity site for English-speaking travellers, alongside inbound marketing projects for Adidas, AATJ and Goethe.

At Breaker Inc, I also became the resident photographer, shooting headshots for our line-up of influencers. Still a passion today, just with a much smaller audience, mainly the family photo wall.

Human-Computer Interaction MSc

I moved back to the UK to study HCI at UCL, trading intuition for research rigour. One project, a voice-controlled game teaching players about environmental interventions, made me a finalist in the ACM CHI 2020 Student Game Competition.

Freelancing & Contracting

During studying, I ran my freelance agency alongside contracting for a few design agencies, shipping 15+ small business sites in under two years, plus designing from the ground up an app for a large premium department store chain in Dubai.

Websites were my bread and butter, but most small businesses wanted the full package. Havish Design, my freelance agency, delivered brand refreshes to match the quality of every site.

Fishawack Health

Stepped into health tech, partnering with Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Janssen on digital transformation work. From there, I led design on a UK shared patient record system, modernising a dense, data-heavy platform and building the design system to make it scale.

Ticketmaster

As part of the purchase team, I've shipped big improvements across ticket selection, checkout and the global virtual queue. Now driving the future vision for the seat map, arguably our most complex surface, working directly in code to prototype new interactions and better signalling.
